Drums in the Hills is Gone with the Wind set in the Mexican Revolution of 1910.

Based on an epic novel (inspired by true events), this eight-part series follows the transformation of the beautiful Clara de Rivera, from pampered Sonoran aristocrat to brave Army field nurse, who saved countless lives and eventually picked up a rifle and fought side-by-side with the men of Pancho Villa’s Revolutionary Army.

Taken from the real-life diaries of Frank Carl Dolezal, a twenty-year-old Austrian soldier who traveled to Mexico in search of excitement, gold and romance. The plot centers on Clara, Frank, and Colonel Armando Bautista, a heroic young army officer who nearly steals Clara’s heart. Their journey mirrors the story of Mexico – exciting, challenging, and ultimately… heartbreaking.
